The following video collage is focused on the recent #internet_ban (only in India) suffered by Once in a Blue Moon Academia (OBMA) while resisting the Piramal CHFL aka Piramal Finance’s forced acquisition of the DHFL with the ruling party’s alleged aid. It points to the pan-Indian scenario where the mass media (fourth pillar of democracy) is being bought by the few big corporates or “Godi seths” in the form of the “Godi Media” that runs a systematic propaganda machine full of false promises, deviations from facts, jingoistic aggression, hate speech and eulogies of the ruling party. Adding to that, the new fifth pillar of democracy (social media) is also under the attack of fascist forces as they are trying to control as well as appropriate information flow over the various popular domains such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram etc. It is doing the same through instruments such as “Personal Data Protection Bill” (2019) and so on.
This video makes the point: WE ARE NOT AFRAID! Upholding the necessity of free speech, the video resists the Crony power that reigns over India at present!
