Once in a Blue Moon Academia (OBMA): MOA

1. Name of the Community
The name of the Society shall be “Once In A Blue Moon Academia”, hereinafter referred to as “OBMA.”

2. Objects of the Society

2.1.
To promote and protect human and animal rights in all parts of the world; to study and disseminate knowledge on international human rights issues and the convergences of interdisciplinary research in accordance with the Philosophy of Science(s); to address challenges related to anthropogenic global heating; and to develop theories, methods, and their practical applications (including, but not limited to, litigations concerning financial abuse, psychiatric conditions arising from unemployment neurosis and financial exploitation, and climate-change-related harms). These activities shall be undertaken with special reference to natural and social welfare and strictly through non-violent means.

2.2.
To undertake research in various fields of legal and psycho-social sciences with the aim of reducing human suffering, with particular emphasis on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, especially the third pillar, Access to Remedy for victims of business-related abuses—summarized as Protect, Respect and Remedy—in matters involving human rights, transnational corporations, and other business enterprises.

2.3.
To collect and analyze information; to conduct investigations, projects, and operational research; and to contribute towards the planning and improvement of efficient legislation and humane societal norms for the welfare of suffering human and non-human beings.

2.4.
To undertake any other ancillary activities required for the fulfillment of the objectives outlined in 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3.

2.5. (Integrated Disarmament Clause)
To uphold and advocate a principled commitment to total disarmament, understood as the cessation of arms production, arms trafficking, arms races, and arms profiteering, in alignment with global movements for peace, de-militarization, and the reduction of structural violence.

3. Powers of the Society

For and in connection with the furtherance of its objects or any of them, the Society shall have the power:

3.1. To hold meetings and arrange lectures, seminars, discussions, conferences, training programmes, legal and medical consultations, and courses of study.

3.2. To establish, maintain, manage, or assist in establishing and maintaining legal societies, schools, colleges, training institutions (including disaster-management institutions in collaboration with the Indian Army and Navy), educational centres, laboratories, workshops, factories, experimental farms, research units, clinics, medical and biological units, libraries, reading rooms, and museums.

3.3. To provide facilities for advanced studies and research in the areas referred to in the Objects.

3.4. To create posts and employ officers (including Health Care Providers, Legal Advisors/Consultants, Chartered Accountants, Academicians), workers, contractors, and others on salary, allowance, honorarium, wages, or other forms of remuneration—full-time, part-time, casual, or voluntary.

3.5. To create working centres, branches, divisions, departments, faculties, sections, and units for the efficient conduct of the Society’s activities, including those in the legal and medical sectors.

3.6. To hold examinations and award diplomas, certificates, and other distinctions, including degrees permissible under law, for proficiency in areas within the objects of the Society.

3.7. To undertake investigations and field work and prepare reports on legal, medical, and social issues on its own or in cooperation with governments, institutions, organizations, or individuals.

3.8. To publish books, periodicals, reports, research papers, and other materials; to establish and maintain printing presses or reproduction facilities; and to sell, distribute, or grant subsidized access to such materials.

3.9. To develop the research and teaching activities of the Society, with approval of appropriate authorities, into an organization having the status of a university.

3.10. To take steps to secure registration or recognition of the Society or its credentials in India or abroad.

3.11. To undertake or collaborate in research for the development, manufacture, or construction of scientific instruments, equipment, tools, appliances, and machines.

3.12. To establish, affiliate, maintain, dissolve, or disaffiliate working centres, branches, or institutions having objects similar to those of the Society.

3.13. To amalgamate with any organization having objects wholly or partly similar, or to merge the Society with such organizations.

3.14. To cooperate with governments, universities, associations, societies, and institutions working on legal and medical problems and to establish outlying centres.

3.15. To maintain global contact with researchers and institutions in relevant fields through joint projects, conferences, academic exchanges, and other collaborative activities.

3.16. To accept endowments, gifts, donations, fees, grants, rents, and other funds; to invest funds; to borrow or raise money; and to acquire, hold, lease, or dispose of movable or immovable property.

3.17. To receive security deposits in connection with the activities of the Society.

3.18. To incur expenditure and make financial arrangements necessary for the Society’s work.

3.19. To make donations and grants or otherwise assist individuals, institutions, or associated bodies when considered desirable for furthering the Society’s objectives.

3.20. To establish and maintain Provident Funds, Superannuation Funds, or similar welfare funds for workers of the Society.

3.21. To constitute funds under its own management or under other suitable authorities for carrying out work entrusted to them in the interest of the Society or in furtherance of its objects.

3.22. To develop lands and construct, alter, or demolish eco-friendly buildings, structures, and infrastructure, with the goal of establishing decentralized, self-reliant rural communities in accordance with Tagorean and Gandhian philosophies.

3.23. To establish and maintain hostels, guest houses, housing, canteens, transport facilities, night schools, adult education centres, health homes, clubs, and cooperative organizations for the Society’s activities and the welfare of workers, students, and associated persons.

3.24. To do any of the above acts anywhere in the world, independently or in collaboration with others, as principals, agents, trustees, contractors, or otherwise.

3.25. To frame rules and regulations and modify or rescind the same as required.

3.26. To make, alter, or rescind statutes, by-laws, and standing orders as laid down by the rules and regulations.

3.27. To undertake any action incidental or conducive to the attainment of the Society’s objects.

4. Non-Discrimination Clause

Subject to eligibility conditions as may be laid down, membership of the Society shall not be restricted based on sex, nationality, race, religion, caste, or creed.

5. Non-Profit Clause

The Society shall not distribute any part of its income or profits as dividends, gifts, or bonuses among its members. However, office-bearers, workers, and employees may receive remuneration or grants for services rendered, even if they are members of the Society.

    DHFL HAS LOOTED MY ENTIRE 20 YEARS OF DEFENCE RETIREMENT FUND. NOW PIRAMAL GIVING ONLY 20 PERCENT OF THE WHOLE SAVINGS.
