Releasing of FDs stuck at DHFL on the basis of humanitarian Corporate Social Responsibility (03.04.2020)

Last year, in April 2020, we wrote to all the bidders about our miserable condition. Did they lend their ears to our concerns??? Is it a ruthless world of profit, profit, profit………???

Sub: Releasing of FDs stuck at DHFL on the basis of humanitarian Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Dear Mr. Piramal,

Hope you and your family members are maintaining good health in the midst of the worldwide catastrophic situation. We are writing this letter to you out of our utter despair, agony, anguish, anxiety regarding our FD money stuck at the DHFL.

We have also approached the Honourable President of India (please find enclosed the URL to our open letter to the President of India), appealing for releasing our FDs stuck at DHFL due to the ongoing resolution process.

However, as many of us are pensioners, senior citizens, persons with medical emergencies, it is very difficult for us to wait and survive during the lengthy process involved in NCLT, NCLAT and Supreme Court resolutions.

Therefore, we earnestly request you to relieve us from such “capital” punishment as part of your philanthropic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We know very well that your contributions at the time of COVID-19 crisis are commendable.

Please consider our cases on an emergency basis, or many of us will be no more due to the burden of such frustrating uncertainty.

Wish you and your family members a prosperous future in the days to come.

Yours Faithfully,
