We have seen in the recent times that the government surveillance agencies and statutory bodies such as the ED, CBI, NIA, IT Department, CVC and the ECI are all working in ways which are evidently biased, prejudiced, one-sided, favouritist and partial towards the political opposition and in utmost favour of the current ruling party of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The BJP wants an opposition-less autocracy! This is why each and every opposition MP, who questioned the government on burning issues were removed from the Parliament by hook or by crook. This was never seen in India, even during the infamous Emergency period under Mrs. Gandhi. In fact, at the time of Indira Gandhi’s regimes, the citizens were aware of their do’s and don’ts; but in the case of the present regime, none knows the actions to be taken in their daily lives and in their role as democratic citizens of the nation.
The present undeclared emergency in the Indian republic calls for urgent action on the part of its politically conscious citizens to secure a democratic and secular future for the successive generations.
It is seen that the PM, the so-called “Vishwaguru”, who is decried in all the prominent nations of the world, is not at all interested or bothered to attend press conferences or answer to the public (Contrary to that, the Opposition’s recurrent Press Conferences as well as mass mobilization through the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Nyaya Jatra were seen at the grassroots). The meagre number of two press conferences that he attended in his tenure ended in a smoke since in the first one, the deus-ex-machina Home Minister Amit Shah was answering the questions on behalf of him, while the second one was a forced one when Joe Biden arranged it in the USA, where he performed miserably.
However, he attended some “interviews” in the Godi Modia with scripted, pre-determined, engineered, manufactured question-answer sessions. These serve as his illusory defence mechanisms in the face of his (most likely) upcoming defeat, if not quantitatively in terms of vote-numbers, but by qualitative content.
As we were saying, the problematic PMLA is only applicable for opposition parties: its leaders and chief ministers. Never is it deployed in the case of extremely corrupt, money-laundering, terror-funded superrich BJP leaders, acting in collusion with two-three selective business tycoons.
All these bodies are not eager to pay any heed to the astronomically increasing assets of the BJP or the criminal records (as revealed in Association for Democratic Reforms’/ADR’s Reports) of its sitting MPs and MLAs as well as the Prime Minister and Home Minister themselves.

The government (which has become equated with one particular political party, or rather, one individual narcissistic, exhibitionist individual) is not paying any kind of attention to the following occurrences:
The Hindenburg report on BJP’s friend Adani, The Caravan Report on the Gujarat Pogrom, the BBC Documentary on the Gujarat Pogrom, the findings published by the United Nations, the Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International about human rights violations in India (by deploying the draconian AFSPA and UAPA), V-Dem’s reports, Freedom House’s report, Oxfam’s report, the ILO Report on the poor state of unemployment in India etc.

The BJP government is least bothered about the Rafale Scam, IL&FS Scam, YES Bank scam, the Pegasus Scam, the terror-funded DHFL scam, the Electoral Bonds scam as well as PM CARES scam (yet to be revealed), Dwarka Expressway Scam etc.
It does not want to concentrate at all on the fact of Chinese Occupation of more than 4000 sq. kms of Indian Territory, the blamable role of the BJP in the Manipur affair, the Jammu and Kashmir crisis, the Ladakh movement, the implementation of the Agnipath Scheme issue etc.
It is also not paying heed to the climate factor, e.g., the Joshimath collapse, the question of internally displaced climate refugees etc.
It only wants to talk about futile, hypnotizing, indoctrinating issues such as Central Vista, Vishwanath Dham Corridor, Bullet Trains, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Mathura Janmabhoomi, Forcible Occupation of Gyanvapi, the exclusivist CAA, the Saffronized Uniform Civil Code and statue nationalism.
It gave 200 crores worth of economic aid to the Taliban-led Afghanistan government. The BJP took donations through Dawood Ibrahim and Iqbal Mirchi’s channels in the DHFL Scam. Where did its mask of Islamophobia go?
With the concern for the future of India that could be decisively decided on the 4th of June, 2024, OBMA recollects one of the stories told by the Chinese philosopher Confucius in his The Analects:
The myth concerns a Foolish Old Man of 90 years who lived near a pair of mountains. He was annoyed by the obstruction caused by the mountains and sought to dig through them with hoes and baskets. To move the mountain, he could only make one round trip between the mountain and his home in a year. The food he brought on the road to last him through this difficult time is Chaoqi. When questioned as to the seemingly impossible nature of his task, the Foolish Old Man replied that while he may not finish this task in his lifetime, through the hard work of himself, his children, and their children, and so on through the many generations, some day the mountains would be removed if he persevered. The gods in Heaven, impressed with his hard work and perseverance, ordered the mountains separated.
Learning from the old man’s Sisyphusian perseverance, the Indian citizens must cast their votes to prevent a future where there would be no elections, no human rights, no scope for “othered” communities, no scope for dissenters’ voices or voices from the margins, no scope for justice in general, no scope for freedom of speech, expression, faith, belief and worship.
“We are marching in a compact group along a precipitous and difficult path, firmly holding each other by the hand. We are surrounded on all sides by enemies, and we have to advance almost constantly under their fire.
