Sub: A distress call from the DHFL Victims in the spirit of Democratic Socialism

Dear Sir, 

Being disgusted by the mono-religious extremism and severe violation of human rights in India under the might of Crony Saffron Fascism, we, the victims of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL) scam, have settled down to view the movie, “PK” (2014), one of our favourite films that explains the plurality and cultural relativity of a multi-religious country by using the alien’s gaze. We are trying our best to obliviate our pain for being a prey to manufactured financial abuse. We are trying to get rid of such sufferings—we are searching for a pharmakon, where revered Kaviraj Ram Lakhan Singh, as a fighter of freedom, is providing us the herbal medicine to heal our politico-economic miseries that destroys our docile corporeal.

You yourself had witnessed the black days of Indian democracy during the infamous Emergency, when you were captivated by the forces of the then authoritarianism. We are also being financially punished by the RBI-appointed Committee of Creditors (CoC) for DHFL (later on declared to be “contrary to law” and filled with irregularities by the NCLAT, India, on 27/01/2022) with the aid of the central ruling party of India. 

However, a dream is not always a dream. We know that as a voracious reader, you will certainly go through our appeal for rescuing us from a bigger scam (the biggest scam being the Adani group scam as recently revealed by the Hindenburg Research⤡) in India, viz., the DHFL scam.

We are certain that you, as an ardent follower of the noble ideas and ideals of Jayprakash Narayan and Ram Manohar Lohia, will maintain the core socialist ethos when the term “democratic socialism” has been reduced to a mere empty word by the crony fascists and their allies by ignoring the fundamental Constitutional values.

As an electrical engineer, you will surely be able to repair the damaged fuse of Indian democracy, as recently reported by certain foreign media houses.

We are therefore again earnestly requesting you, a follower of the supreme philosophy of “aharnish seva” (uninterrupted work through day and night), to rescue us from this transparently opaque, politically manipulated scam that was manufactured to fill the coffers of the central ruling party of India and its chosen few. We are awaiting the day when we would get back our hard-earned life savings and be able to enjoy Butter Masala Dosa accompanied by a cup of Darjeeling tea.
