The DHFL FD-holders’ team is severely injured by the bouncers of the regulatory bodies: a letter to Anurag Singh Thakur

Sub: The DHFL FD-holders’ team is severely injured by the bouncers of the regulatory bodies

Dear Mr. Singh Thakur,

We, the Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) FD-holders’ team, are hit by the repeated bouncers by the COC under the newly introduced IBC 2016.

We are severely injured by the cricket ball faster than 161.3km/h.  Our docile bodies have crossed the threshold of our tolerance level. We are crippled as we have no de facto helmets, jockstraps/abdominal guards or impact resistant cups, leg pads, elbow guards, gloves, arm guards or chest guards. Even there are no de facto first-aiders and stretcher-bearers, who would take us to the physicians.

Why are there so many bouncers per over? The International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced a “two bouncers per over per batsman”, with a “two-run no-ball penalty” if the bowler exceeded two bouncers an over. Now who will bell the cat? Who will penalize? The umpires are busy with their purses (Rs. 130 Crore for them!)—they are not looking at the bowler’s step, who is overstepping the crease. We are not only wounded by the short pitch balls, repeated bodyline bowling (as developed by Larwood) with no balls that are ignored by the vigilant umpires (or emperors), our three stumps have also been completely broken.

We are compelled to play test match series one after another without any breathing spaces. There is no question of Twenty-20 or even one-day matches. Nineteen COC meetings/test matches are over within the last 18 months. We are going to be defeated or simply extinguished—just waiting for the third umpire’s decision!

Thus, you have aptly said,

“The regulator, auditor and management should be held responsible for fraud in Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank or other banks.” (as reported on Oct 17, 2019⤡)

As we, the DHFL-FD-holders’ team are always forced to play last innings of the match, we have to follow the ascribed rules and regulations of the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method (DLS) ⤡  or IBCNHB Act ⤡, Companies Act⤡  in our rainy days. We are running out—time is also running out. That is our halting point: world-wide catastrophic pandemic (with inflation due to contraction of GDP by 24% in April to June, 2020). Our target has increased, though we, the DHFL-FD-holders’ team, do not know the rationale of such logico-mathematics of such legal provisions.

Alas! We, the DHFL-FD-holders’ team, are not united. We are sledging our own players; we do not believe in each other as some people are fishing in the troubled waters.

We, the DHFL-FD-holders’ team, are appealing to you, not as the Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, but as a gentleman cricketer and cricket administrator, to rescue us from such a devastating situation by regulating the regulatory authorities with reference to DHFL SCAM. VIEW HERE ⤡.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Debaprasad Bandyopadhyay

Please support.. My father is a senior citizen 75 year old and all his lifetime savings is on DHFL fixed deposits which stuck with the company since last 24 months. There is no more interest and with the NCLT regulatory, DHFL is not willing to return our deposits. Please help.

  2. It is “Lila”, a game, played by the saguna Brahman, as we are told by Shri Ramanujacharya. It deceives us due to our ignorance.
